Are You Struggling With These Skin Concerns?
Do you find yourself constantly looking in the mirror wishing for smoother, clearer skin? If you are dealing with any of these issues, you’re not alone:

ENLARGED PORES
Visible, large pores can give skin a rough, uneven texture and make it harder to achieve a smooth, polished look.

HYPERPIGMENTATION & MELASMA
Dark spots and patches are caused by sun damage, hormonal changes, or scarring, leading to an uneven skin tone.

ACNE SCARS
Lingering marks from past breakouts leave uneven skin texture and can be challenging to conceal.

DULL AND AGED SKIN
Skin that has lost its natural glow and elasticity often looks tired or aged due to decreased collagen.

Discover How PicoSure Laser Targets Imperfections
The FDA-approved PicoSure Laser delivers ultra-fast pulses measured in picoseconds (a trillionth of a second), using a 755 nm wavelength that is highly effective for pigmentation removal.
This wavelength precisely targets areas of pigmentation, breaking down melanin into tiny, dust-like fragments. These fragments are then naturally cleared by your body’s lymphatic system, resulting in clearer, more even-toned skin with minimal discomfort.
Visible improvements can be achieved after 2-3 sessions a month apart
Why is PicoSure Regarded as The Picosecond Laser of Choice For Many Doctors

What is a Picolaser?
Picolaser is short for “picosecond laser”, which refers to pigment lasers which fire an extremely quick burst of light measured in trillionths of a second. This small and intense burst of energy allows the targeting of microscopic pigment particles in the skin- melanin (skin pigment), haemoglobin (blood pigment) or tattoo ink while sparing the normal skin. The target pigment rapidly heats up and shatters into fine particles which are then cleared by the scavenger cells of the skin. Using special settings, pico lasers can generate areas of Light-Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOBs) in the skin- numerous microscopic controlled wounds that stimulate skin regeneration. The end result is the removal of unwanted skin pigmentation and skin rejuvenation.
Why the 755nm wavelength?
Picosecond lasers operate at the 532nm, 755nm or 1064nm wavelength. PicoSure is the ONLY picosecond laser in the world to operate at the 755nm wavelength. All other picosecond lasers operate at the 532nm/1064nm wavelength. 755nm wavelength is considered the OPTIMAL wavelength for the treatment of pigmentation- melanin is targeted 50 times more than blood. This means PicoSure treatments can yield visible results in fewer laser sessions with less downtime, compared to other pico lasers.

Focus Lens and Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown
PicoSure’s Focus lens treatment uses a patented diffractive lens to concentrate laser energy up to 20 times- the intense laser energy produces Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOBs) of the skin, creating microscopic areas that attract new skin cells and triggering an intense skin renewal process (proven by skin biopsy). This allows for the resurfacing of acne scars, fine lines and open pores.
Personalised Consultation
A detailed medical consultation and skin analysis with our doctors to develop a bespoke treatment protocol designed specifically for your skin’s needs.
Numbing Cream Application
To ensure a comfortable experience, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area 20 minutes before starting.
Laser Treatment
The PicoSure laser is utilised to target pigmentation, acne scars, or other skin concerns, following your personalised plan which will take around 10 to 15 minutes.
Aftercare Treatment & Guidance
To support the skin’s recovery and enhance your results, you may choose to include Dermalux LED Therapy (10–20 minutes) and an application of Calecim serum after the treatment.
With minimal downtime, you can return to your daily activities immediately. However, to maintain and protect your skin:
- Avoid direct UV exposure for 1–2 weeks.
- Pause skincare products containing Vitamin C, Retinols, and Alpha/Beta Hydroxyl Acids for 5–7 days to prevent irritation.
Our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions for optimal healing and long-lasting results.
Why $88 Picolaser Treatments Don’t Work
Many mass market chain clinics are advertising cheap picolaser trials (probably done in a factory line style by less experienced doctors!) in the hope of “upselling” packages. We have seen our fair share of patients who come to us for a second opinion after a less-than-satisfactory experience at such establishments.
At Bay Aesthetic Clinic, we don’t take the “factory line” approach and instead focus on evidence-based and results-driven care. Our doctors perform a detailed consultation and customise the PicoSure Laser Treatments for every patient. This bespoke approach ensures optimal results for skin concerns like enlarged pores, pigmentation, and acne scars, helping clients achieve the best skin of their lives.
