Your Concerns
You've worked hard to achieve your success — your appearance should reflect it.
As collagen production declines with age, skin gradually loses firmness and definition. Oligio X addresses these concerns through monopolar radiofrequency energy delivered to the deeper layers of the skin.
Sagging Skin
Double Chin
Submental fat accumulation and skin laxity create an undefined jawline that resists conventional methods.
Wrinkles & Fine Lines
Collagen depletion contributes to the gradual formation of lines on the forehead, around the eyes, and mouth area.
Droopy Eyelids
Skin laxity on the upper eyelid creates a hooded appearance that can add years to the face.
Enlarged Pores
Weakened collagen structure allows pores to appear more prominent, affecting overall skin texture.
Loss of Facial Definition
The V-shaped facial contour gradually softens as skin loses its structural support over time.
Your Concerns
What is Oligio X?
“Oligio” means lifting up in Korean. Oligio X is a monopolar radiofrequency device developed by WonTech, Korea, designed for non-surgical skin tightening and lifting without downtime.
Oligio X operates at 6.78MHz and delivers RF energy through a GXG dual-mode system — targeting both the dermal layer and the deeper fat structures beneath for a three-dimensional treatment effect. The OSCA algorithm monitors skin impedance and temperature in real-time before each pulse. An 11-level cooling system, combined with integrated handpiece vibration, is designed to allow treatment without topical anaesthesia.

How It Works
Three Key Technologies
Oligio X combines three systems in a single device: a dual-mode RF delivery system, a real-time energy monitoring algorithm, and an integrated cooling-and-vibration comfort system.
01
GXG Dual-Mode RF
G Mode delivers wide-area heating across the upper dermal layer. X Mode targets deeper into the dermis and fat structures (retinacula cutis). The two modes are applied in sequence — G Mode pre-heating, X Mode deep delivery, G Mode final pass — forming a complete GXG thermal pathway from surface to deep tissue.
02
OSCA Algorithm
The Optimal Shot Control Algorithm (OSCA) reads the skin’s impedance and surface temperature before every pulse and automatically adjusts the energy output. This is designed to deliver consistent energy to the target depth while monitoring skin condition throughout the procedure.
03
11-Level Cooling + Vibration
Oligio X delivers 11 cooling pulses per shot, compared to 5 in the original Oligio. The cooling system preserves the epidermal layer while allowing RF energy to penetrate deeper. Integrated handpiece vibration is designed to reduce the perception of discomfort during treatment, with most patients not requiring numbing cream.
Step 01
GXG Dual-Mode RF
Pre-heating: gliding technique warms the dermis and prepares tissue for deeper energy delivery
Step 02
X Mode
Deep delivery: RF energy directed to dermis and fat structures (retinacula cutis)
Step 03
G Mode
Sealing pass: locks in the thermal remodelling effect and supports sustained collagen activation

Understanding the Difference
Why topical products work differently from RF treatment
Both are monopolar radiofrequency devices. The comparison below outlines key technical differences to help you make an informed decision.
Oligio X’s X Mode delivers radiofrequency energy directly to the dermal and sub-dermal layers, where it heats tissue to stimulate collagen contraction and new collagen synthesis. This is a structural response that cannot be replicated by topical application alone.
Not all RF devices deliver energy to the same depth. Oligio X’s dual-mode GXG system, combined with the OSCA algorithm, is designed to target both the dermis and the fat structures beneath it.
Treatment Planning
Considering a Combined Approach?
Oligio X addresses the dermal and sub-dermal layer — stimulating collagen and tightening tissue from within the skin. For patients with more significant laxity, or those looking to address deeper structural changes, your doctor may discuss the option of pairing Oligio X with Ultherapy PRIME — a micro-focused ultrasound treatment that works at a fundamentally different depth.

Why combine both modalities
Two different technologies. Two different depths. One comprehensive lifting approach.
Oligio X works within the dermis and sub-dermis to stimulate collagen remodelling and tighten the skin layer itself. Ultherapy PRIME uses micro-focused ultrasound to target the SMAS — the same foundational support layer addressed in a surgical facelift. By working at complementary depths, a combined protocol may be designed to address both the surface skin quality and the deeper structural foundation. Suitability for a combined approach is assessed on an individual basis by your doctor.
Complementary Depths
RF energy (Oligio X) and micro-focused ultrasound (Ultherapy PRIME) act at different anatomical levels and are not in direct competition — they are designed to complement each other.
Surface + Structural
Oligio X tightens the skin layer; Ultherapy PRIME targets the deep structural layer. A combined approach may address both the visible texture of the skin and the foundation that supports it.
Doctor-Designed Protocol
Whether a combined approach is appropriate depends on individual skin condition, degree of laxity, and treatment goals. Your doctor will assess suitability before recommending any protocol.
Combination treatment suitability is determined by medical assessment. Results from any treatment vary between individuals. Pricing for combined protocols is subject to consultation.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Oligio X and the original Oligio RF?
Oligio X is WonTech’s updated model of the original Oligio. The key differences are: (1) GXG dual-mode delivery — X Mode targets the dermis and fat structures, while the original used single-mode delivery; (2) the OSCA algorithm, which adjusts energy per pulse based on real-time skin monitoring (the original had no equivalent); (3) 11 cooling pulses per shot vs. 5 for the original; and (4) numbing cream is typically not required for Oligio X. Bay Clinic has upgraded to the Oligio X model.
Is the treatment uncomfortable? Is numbing cream required?
Oligio X’s 11-level real-time cooling system and integrated handpiece vibration are designed to manage discomfort during treatment. Numbing cream is not required in most cases, and most patients describe the sensation as mild warmth. Individual pain tolerance varies, and your doctor will discuss comfort options during consultation if needed.
How does Oligio X compare to Thermage FLX?
Both are monopolar RF devices operating at 6.78MHz that stimulate collagen production for skin tightening. Oligio X adds a dual-mode GXG delivery system (Thermage FLX uses single-mode), an OSCA real-time energy algorithm, and 11 cooling pulses per shot. Oligio X also offers a Body Tip applicator for treatment of larger body areas. Both are FDA-cleared devices. Pricing for Oligio X at Bay Clinic starts from $1,988 nett, compared to $4,000–$6,000+ for a typical Thermage FLX session in Singapore.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Some patients notice immediate improvement in skin firmness as existing collagen fibres contract in response to heat. Collagen regeneration continues over 1–3 months following treatment. Results are reported to last up to one year. Individual outcomes vary depending on skin condition, age, and lifestyle. A maintenance session is typically recommended annually.
Who is suitable for Oligio X treatment?
Oligio X is generally suitable for adults experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity, wrinkles, enlarged pores, loss of facial definition, or submental fat concerns. It is designed for all skin types and tones. A consultation with your Bay Clinic doctor will determine suitability and allow for personalised protocol design. Oligio X is not recommended for patients who are pregnant, have implanted electronic devices (e.g. pacemakers), or have active infections in the treatment area.
Can Oligio X be used to treat body areas?
Yes. The Oligio X Body Tip (16 cm²) enables treatment of larger surface areas including the neck, upper arms, abdomen, and thighs. This tip is not available on the original Oligio RF device. Please raise your interest in body areas during your consultation so the doctor can assess suitability.
What is the difference between Oligio X and Ultherapy PRIME, and can they be combined?
Oligio X uses monopolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to target the dermal and sub-dermal layers (approximately 1–4mm depth), stimulating collagen remodelling and tightening the skin layer. Ultherapy PRIME uses micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation (MFU-V) to target the SMAS layer — a deeper facial support structure at approximately 4.5mm — the same layer addressed in a surgical facelift. Because the two technologies work at different anatomical depths, they are not in direct competition. A combined protocol may be appropriate for patients with more significant skin laxity, or those seeking both surface skin tightening and deeper structural lifting. Whether a combined approach is right for you is determined by your doctor based on individual assessment. Please raise this interest during your consultation.
